Dunea chooses full suite mobility solution
Mobile Workforce Management and GIS have become necessity
Dunea, a large water utility serving southern Holland has chosen Tensing Mobility Platform to automate its field maintenance and repair processes. Dunea adds Mobile Workforce Management and Track & Trace to their existing Tensing Mobile GIS solution.
Dunea has implemented the Tensing Dispatch, Tensing Track & Trace, and Tensing Mobile Workflow (mobile workforce management) modules, which are part of the Tensing Mobility Platform suite. The integration of these 3 modules provides Dunea with a wide set of functions to fully automate their mobile processes.
“Mobile workforce management and GIS solutions have become a necessity in the utilities industry. Being able to track work progress, status, and worker location is invaluable. The Tensing Mobility Platform supports all our mobile processes. With Tensing we are able to improve work order logging and progress and we have the ability to control work order durations,” said Arjan Molenaar, Project Manager for Mobile Workforce Management at Dunea.
The integration between Dispatch and Track & Trace gives Dunea a big picture view of their field worker statuses and locations. Deployment of special resources such as fault inspectors and maintenance technicians can be optimized through planning. Tensing Dispatch was also configured to allot a specific time period to complete certain types of work, aiding in the planning process.
Field technicians immediately receive work orders with historical information about an object or installation on their laptops with Tensing Mobile Workflow. Additionally they are guided through the entire work order process step by step, from recording materials usage to reporting failures found during the work. Work hours can also be logged directly in the application.
The upgrade to Tensing Mobility Platform was a result of Dunea’s initiative to further improve their mobile processes and actively manage their mobile workforce.

Tensing Track & Trace in particular has allowed us to more efficiently deploy our engineers and schedule our vehicles,” said Molenaar.
